Au moment où j’écris cet article, je me trouve au bord de la piscine en ardoise verte polie de l’Hôtel Santa Teresa, sous un frangipanier qui me protège des 37 degrés. Nous sommes dimanche, je suis entourée de couples brésiliens venus se retirer de l’agitation des plages et je m’apprête à tester le SPA de l’hôtel recommandé dans tous mes beaux guides. Ancienne plantation de café, cet hôtel se trouve, comme son nom l’indique, sur les hauteurs de Santa Teresa. Style colonial, 40 chambres et une vue panoramique sur le nord de la ville. Alicia Keys y séjourne régulièrement et moi j’en suis vraiment satisfaite. Pour être tout à fait honnête avec vous, je préfère l’ambiance des plages mais c’est une chouette opportunité si vous voulez découvrir Rio sous un autre angle. Le bar de l’hôtel est super-branché, ouvert à tout le monde, je vous conseille de vous y rendre après un dîner chez Apravizel ou Bar do Mineiro.

Alicia Keys comes here regularly and as far as I’m concerned, I’m very satisfied about it. To be totally honest with you, I might like the atmosphere around the beaches better, but it’s a nice opportunity if you want to discover Rio in a different manner. The hotel bar is super trendy, open to everyone, and I advise you to go there after dinner at Apravizel or Bar do Mineiro.
